MONA Museum Of Neon Art/ BLUE TAPE RED TAPE/ SLEEPWALKERS LOCAL

  • Come one, come all, to the glowing hall of neon-ic artistry and sonic
wondermentizement for the show is about to begin.  This Thursday from
the hour of 8pm to the hour of 9pm there will be almost too much sound
and excitement for that scant sixty minutes to handle here at the
Vestibule Gallery at the Museum of Neon Art (in beautiful Downtown LA)

Against the backdrop of the California Surf black installation by
Jerico Woggon, the enigmatic Sleepwalkers Local will start off the
evening's festivities with a blended mix of blanketing keyboard tones,
muffled beats, off-kilter guitar loops, and possibly a few vocal howls
inbetwixt.  So come early to hear some of this surfer music on cough
medicine and sleeping pills, and then get ready for something more
    energetic and confrontational right after.

Blue Tape Red Tape comes to us from East LA, and encompasses
everything good about today's independent music scene.  This young
couple does everything themselves, booking and promoting, playing and
recording, composing and deconstructing their sounds with a fever
found only in the confident and young at heart.  Combining the organic
emotional power of twin entangled voices with the cold beats and waves
of barely controlled noise, Blue Tape Red Tape promises an experience
every single time you see them and at this rate, they will be playing
    alot, for a long time!
